Cheque Clearances

If using a 'U' shaped guide bracket check that the gate has at to the lowest degree 10mm (three/8") clearance between the elevation of the gate and guide bracket for the entire length of the gate.  If there is slope across the driveway (camber) and the top rail is level and so this would be at the highest point.

guide bracket minimum clearance

If there'south slope beyond the driveway and the acme rail is raked the guide block volition need to be fitted at an bending so the guide rail doesn't grab in the block. If the gate is stiff to push in one direction but not the other then the angle isn't quite correct.  If you utilise one Tek screw to start with then you can clench the channel for the block at different angles until yous find the bending that runs the smoothest.

keeper minimum clearance

Clamp the Keeper where you think information technology should be so close the gate and if using a guide rail brand certain it clears the keeper by at least 10mm otherwise move it downwards.

getting gate plumb

Before fixing the track in place put the gate back on the rail again and check that the gate is plumb and that it lines upwards with the posts and keeper.

To fit the track employ metal pin anchors, which are available at most nut and bolt suppliers as these are quick to fit, expect overnice and hold better than Dynabolts.

You lot need to drill holes in the physical the right size for the pin ballast, the 6.5mm (1/4") ballast is the nigh suitable requiring a 6.5mm (1/four") hole.
